HOW IS KATIA? (2022, FEATURE DRAMA, UKRAINE)

Anna (Anastasia Karpenko) works as a paramedic. She wants to secure a reasonably secure future for herself and her daughter. But all plans fall apart when Anna’s daughter Katja is hit by a car. Anna’s hectic everyday life is thrown further into disarray as she does not let go and tries to convict the perpetrators. But justice, Anna must painfully learn, is not guaranteed. Corruption, nepotism and violence characterise Ukrainian society, which the film portrays in a rather uncompromising and gloomy way.
